Is Your Communications Plan in Focus?
SOLUTIONS DELIVER ADVERTISER CONFIDENCE

Part of AmeriMedia’s effort in developing advertiser confidence is directed to the end user of their brand. This allows us the right to say we work for the people who buy the brand. Without reliable measurement of ratings evident in most Caribbean countries we see that TV or Radio station selection must be integral to the advertiser’s quest to find audience relevance and receptivity from the group of stations available in each market. Stations have to grow to be a marketing solutions partner whereby concern for its advertisers takes on as much significance as their daily costs of operations.

Radio audiences are fragmenting as more stations appear in each market. They are skipping commercials while others are using iPods, CD’s, Internet radio, etc. The stations must find careful ways to manage commercial placements, engage in more integrations, feature talent endorsements, use on-air mentions and adlibs, and connect the audience in social media platforms, all in an attempt to maximize audience retention and reduce commercial skipping. In compliance a station can secure the advertising partner’s investment, honor their brand and deliver value to the audience. These practices are necessary and easy for any station to uphold, especially with regard to today’s uncertainty of the global economy, the world events and how it affects consumer and partner spending, particularly in non-primary markets.

AmeriMedia represents the stations that assuredly cater to their advertisers.

THE TRIBUNE TAKES THE TOP

The country's oldest newspaper is the Nassau Guardian, which has published continuously since it was founded in 1844 by an Englishman named Edwin Charles Mosely. Its chief competitor, The Tribune, was founded in 1903 by Leon Dupuch, a Bahamian.   Through the years and after several proprietors The Tribune settles for no less than a fine family of hands-on, owner operators who are taking The Bahamas into the 21st century as media leaders of the country.  On July 24, 2007 The Tribune bought The Nassau Guardian, and as International sales representatives, we are proud to announce that AmeriMedia looks forward to providing excellence in advertising planning and placements into these great publications.  Under The Tribune umbrella AmeriMedia clients will also find a host of award-winning radio stations, 100 JAMZ,  COOL 96.1, JOY-FM and Y-98.

BERMUDA ... HERE COMES THE SUN

CARIBBEAN CARNIVAL TIME

January kicks off Caribbean Carnival season. In Trinidad the streets are full of parades that include people in the most elaborate costumes you've ever seen, many of which are designed and made over the course of a year ... bands playing festive music ... dancing, singing ... just basic fun that draws thousands of people from all over the region.

Advertisers who wish to become radio sponsors during Carnival in Trinidad should contact AmeriMedia well in advance to secure a placement. Not all radio stations in Trinidad are Carnival sponsors, however, one of our top stations in the country, VIBE 105, is the home for all the Carnival action and they offer fabulous advertising packages.

In St. Maarten our stations, MIX 94.7, and Island 92 promote Carnival activities by going "live" to the crowd. Hoyer Radio in Curacao does the same. Many advertising sponsors often accompany our stations during these broadcasts providing them an opportunity to distribute free samples. It is tremendous exposure for brands to receive recognition during this time while demonstrating local support.

Many islands celebrate Carnival throughout the year, but the Trinidad Carnival is the biggest. No matter where you want to be in any Caribbean country, Carnival is a prime focal advertising period you don't want to miss. Contact AmeriMedia for more specific details.

One of our dear friends from Trini, Suzanne Singh sent us photos (below) of her first "Mas" ... partying with her is her husband, Nigel Thomas, Mrs.. Rachael Telemaque, her husband Dr. Michael Telemaque, and the beautiful, former Ms Trinidad, Wendy (everyone knows it's Wendy ... we just forgot her last name). Carnival time is great fun for everyone, but only if you dare!
