Guyana Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd., GTV Channel 11, Georgetown "Television for Guyana" produces its own 6 O'clock Newscast featuring local news, sports and weather. Programming reaches all of the populated areas of the country through a network of various stations … GTV Channel 15 in Burbice, GTV Channel 25 in Essequibo, Linden TV 13, Bartica TV 5, and NTN TV 69 in Georgetown. TV 11 features a variety of cable network shows, BBC programs and US syndicated programming including movies and sitcoms. In addition, GTV produces its own variety of local programming.
WRHM TV 7 Is considered a mainstream station featuring many US Network programs such as Oprah, The Young & the Restless, Touched by an Angel, 60-Minutes, Jeopardy and major network TV movies, HBO and STARZ. WHRM delivers a host of news programs such as Extra, Dateline, World News, CNN and the BBC News. Their local news programs, Capital News, and Stabroek News are popular news programs throughout the country.
