Radio ISLAND 92 offers a variety of Album Rock and Caribbean music. The station is building an audience comprised of professional adults 35+, however the morning DJ, Bogart, entertains the entire area with his humor, wit, interactive audience participation and plain old funtime. Many times you'll see him in the middle of the street, promoting products ... stopping traffic and drawing a crowd together. You want a guy like this for branding. Bogart was on the air at LASER, but now his loyal followers find him up to his old tricks at ISLAND and they're lovin' it! MIX 94.7-FM features Adult Contemporary music, R&B hits, Reggae and Classic Pop. KC in the Morning, 6AM - 10AM, provides the audience with a great way to start their day, featuring an excellent blend of local music and regular weather and marine reports. CNN News airs during the morning drive, Monday through Friday at 6AM, 7AM, 8AM, 9AM with a full report from Noon to 1PM.
"Chach" drives the audience home from 2PM to 6PM. His entertaining personality is a favorite with the locals and he is quite the celebrity on St. Martin and surrounding islands. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, he features an audience interactive quiz that is extremely popular. Calls come in as far away as Tortola. CNN News airs again at 4PM, 5PM and 6PM, Monday through Friday. There are a multitude of sponsorship opportunities available to advertisers.
PJD 2 1300-AM is referred to as "The Voice of St. Maarten," driven predominately by the local population. The stations reach a more mature listening audience. Their format mixes tropical music and Calypso "oldies" with talk, information, news, sports and weather reports.
PJD 3 102.7-FM, POWER 102 features a broken format of independantly produced programs ... talk, news and information with a scattering of rhythem and blues, classic soul, soft rock and cool reggae. There's an all Spanish program, "Si Esta Carib" hosted by Richard Kruythoff, Monday-Friday 7PM-9PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon-2PM. All commercials are in Spanish. There is a small pocket of Spanish speaking people in the area, but many like the Latin Merengue and Salsa music. Every Saturday afternoon from 2PM-4PM Lady Grace hosts a popular show, "The R&B Top 30 Countdown."
Radio Transat 100.3-FM, 106.1-FM and 95.5-FM broadcasts in French and English featuring a variety of local, tropical and international music. Well known for its Old World European charm, Radio Transat creates a style all its own that combines the vibrant beat of the Caribbean that is entertaining, as well as informative. Radio Transat reaches a target audience of upscale adults, 18+. The station highlights information such as island fashion and beauty, a savvy report of the islands' dining spots, interviews with culinary gourmets, tourism activities, lively sports interviews and stories, political comments, daily news from France, and horoscopes. Radio Transat reaches the neighboring French and U.S. Virgin Islands, capturing the attention of listeners in Saba, Anguilla, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Eustacius and St. Maarten. Locally, Radio Transat is heard throughout the island of St. Barts and in hotels, villas, the airport, the port, the Municipal Tourism Office, and St. Bart's upscale boutiques. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available to their advertisers.
Laser 101.1-FM features Adult Contemporary Hits and Tropical music. The station reaches a diverse adult demo, 18+ on both Dutch and French St. Maarten. Its morning program, "Rude Awakenings, "features a local popular Radio personality, "Bulldog," who entertains the audience with hilarious phone scams and jokes, anecdotes, wild running imaginations, give-aways, parody songs, celebrity appearances and a terrific mix of music. The midday program from 10AM - 2PM highlights on-air cash give-aways to its listening audience. The afternoon drive program "Club 101" features party music throughout the afternoon starting at 2PM and it doesn't stop until 6PM.
Oasis 96.3-FM is an easy listening station where businesses and service companies tune in often. Although the main target audience for Oasis is 35 and older, it has a high female demographic with a variety of programs and sponsorship packages that control the frequency of advertisements. This is particularly good for international advertisers who wish for the highest visibility of their product line.

AVS, Arts Video Studio, features AVS St. Martin News. This program is the only locally produced News show that accepts advertising and sponsorships. Though limited in the number of avails it's the only way to reach the market's TV viewers. The program airs at 8:30 PM, Monday-Friday, Channel 3 on the French side and at 7:30 and 10PM, Channel 15 on the Dutch side. |
